New India E-visas have been introduced for British travellers. Learn more about this change and what it means for your India holiday.
India Visas Go Digital
The Indian embassy has just announced that from Saturday 15th August, UK passport holders will be able to apply for a visa online. Securing a visa for India used to time-consuming and involve sending away passports and photographs to the embassy, but these new changes mean a simple document printed online will act as proof.
In addition to this, travellers will be able to fly into a broader range of airports on a tourist visa, including popular destinations like Jaipur and Varanasi, allowing greater flexibility in exploring this vibrant country.
Britain now joins a list of 113 countries eligible for an online visa. The new service will be available for up to 30 days of travel and costs around US$60. Find out more here.

More flexibility for British Passport Holders
We are delighted that India is now even easier to visit for British nationals. These new changes will streamline the visa process, and ensure British travellers have the opportunity to fly into the airport of their choosing, ensuring greater flexibility and the chance to explore destinations beyond the major cities.
